A new chapter of continued collaboration between the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) saw both agencies renew a Memorandum of Understanding as a bold step to position Nigerian SMEs on the global stage.
The partnership is about opening up opportunities, connecting small businesses to global value chains, and creating real impact through smarter inter-agency collaboration, wider market access and stronger investment linkages.
Speaking at the signing, NIPC's Executive Secretary/CEO, Aisha Rimi, reaffirmed that SMEs are the bedrock of the economy, while SMEDAN's Director-General, Charles Odii, lauded NIPC's inclusive drive and commitment to empowering small businesses that fuel Nigeria's growth story.
The previous Memorandum of Understanding led to over 30 business linkages, and this renewal is set to go even further, with enhanced coordination and a clear results framework ensuring Nigerian SMEs do not just survive but thrive.
